Federico Anselmi is one of the brightest talents in Italian poker. The Cash Game is his main field, but a couple of years ago he switch to a new variant of Texas Hold’em Poker, that is the Short Deck (6+ Hold’em). Federico got to know this variant on his business trips to Las Vegas, and immediately fell in love with it. In this speciality switch he had the luck and the honor of being coached by Dario Sammartino, one of the first italian players to play this fun but complex variant.
Dario Sammartino strongly wanted him as Short Deck UG coach because he proved to be very skilled in the transition of mentality that is necessary to move from No Limit poker to Short Deck. Federico’s mindset is clear: a lot of study, commitment and perseverence, which are fundamental weapons if you want to play at high levels like him. Hard work that pays off with great performances such as fourth place at the 2019 WSOP Europe in the €2,500 No Limit Hold’em Short Deck in Rozvadov.
Federico Anselmi also provided the BB/100 graph of his online performance over the years on PokerStars in 6+ Hold’em, with 131,866 ‘hands’ of play, with the details of Net Won and Net Won EV:
